T-Minus One Day & Counting...
I leave for the UK tomorrow -- Brink and I are so excited!Here's a brief rundown of our itinerary:
*Thursday 28 July -- Saturday 30 July: Stoke-on-Trent (where Brink lives, outside Manchester)
*Saturday 30 July: Helensburgh (West of
*Sunday 31 July: Tobermory (Isle of
*Monday 1 August: Pitlochry; near my family's ancestral home
*Tuesday 2 August: Ambleside (in the Lake District)
*Wednesday 3 August: Bratislava, Slovak Republic
*Thursday 4 August -- Monday 8 August: Dubrovnik, Croatia
*Monday 8 August: Cologne, Germany
*Tuesday 9 August -- Thursday 11 August: Paris, France
*Thursday 11 August: return to the US

Dubrovnik is (was?) a gorgeous city. I was there in 1989. The old, walled city is/was amazing. I'm not sure much of the old city still stands. Dubrovnik was shelled pretty bad during the wars in the 1990s. Enjoy your trip. Best to Brink. Love to hear all about it when you get back.
